Born and raised here. The big four lane roads I drive on everyday used to be dirt roads when I had my license.

Eh. It’s dry up that way. I had about a foot of water in my back yard during the most recent hurricane/ts. We had a record 10.5 foot tide. I think the worst we’ve seen is 11 feet.

I’d be pretty happy if my house suddenly tripled in price and I had some 600k+ in equity. I would happily sell, take all that equity, pay cash for a house in Northern Georgia and be debt free.

I live in the area of the Volvo plant in SC.

Firstly, as an American, killings of any sort are horrendous and awful. I feel for the victims families and their communities. I hope going forward they heal and achieve lasting justice.

I’m not all Pro-big business/corporations, but sometimes the union strikes are just straight up stupid and make me dislike unions. GM may concede and come to terms with them to get what they want, but nevertheless the cries of the workers will ultimately drive one more hard nail in the coffin of GM’s Canadian plants.
