Dude, it wasn't a riot, I don't think even the writer thought it was all that funny. But it was just a joke, and writing a paragraph about why a throw-away headline wasn't funny is about the most soul crushingly anal-retentive thing I can think of.

I really don't have time to explain to you the levels of a joke that was only mildly humorous to begin with, and has now been drained completely of any humor by this utterly banal conversation. As I said, just let it go.
