Using the original Ninite Installer also updates programs you already have, just FYI. I read that somewhere on their website a while ago though, so they might have changed it.

Besides the maybe awkward visual appearance, I never understood why the account limit couldn't be made unlimited (or well up to the lowest number cap in w/e programming language the site uses).

Great for everything but tech. Never create a 'gift closet' for technology products, because they often get outdated way too quickly.

Umm... There's nothing wrong with wanting to install the occasional program (mostly ones that Lifehacker features). And I'm not downloading viruses.

You're supposed to install antivirus software BEFORE a virus gets on your computer, not afterwards. After it's manifested onto your computer, it's practically impossible to get rid of (mostly because they PREVENT antivirus software from being installed and/or detecting it.)

I just disable all my plugins except Flash and Chrome PDF Viewer, since those automatically update with Google Chrome. I always use Google Docs to preview untrustworthy documents, and I can't think of the last time I got a virus from a WinSCP exploit.

Haha. I still think that this is better:

Point is that Windows Vista/7 automatically defrag your harddrive. I hate registry cleaning, because all the programs that I've tried (including CCleaner) tend to think that some of my settings are useless, and clear them out. It's a pain to have to hunt around and find them, so I usually just avoid those tools

I do all of this, but I still find that my computer gets so messed up every maybe ten months that I have to completely reinstall. Granted, ten months is quite a while, but it's still a hassle.

If you're not looking for anything overly fancy and customized, Picasa does the job easily and looks great.

Looks pretty bad.. I'd prefer to wait for Windows 8 than learn to hate it before it's even officially released.

At first, I read "Verizon joining AT&T." I was like, aww crap. Then, I continued and read "Verizon joining AT&T in ending" (of the world?). Finally, I read the full title, and despite how much I love the concept of 'unlimited' data, it was much better than what I first thought would happen.

Is there very much a difference between a $200 or $300 point and shoot?

Couldn't you just use a scrub?

It's their website. They can do what they want. Whether or not it is a good thing is a different matter, but a company has its rights too.

When you reach that page, they try to stop you from deleting your account by displaying pictures of all your 'friends' and claiming on their behalf that they will miss you. How evil is that?!

I agree, except for the law part.

That's why towels are so versatile. You can sell it, fight with it, and umm.. love it.

Yeah ummm I don't think private messages exist anymore (got a screenshot?). Click the timestamp next to the comment and it should take you to the original article.

Even for a dark side post, this is too far. Normal dark side posts are funny little stores that I (hopefully) will never resort to. Doing this is wrong IMO...
