Anyone have ways to make the actual UI nicer? The colors in the code box can be changed, the context menu can be changed, the keyboard shortcuts can be changed, but nobody even thought of making the UI customizable (toolbars, drag and drop of different boxes)

I use Anonymous Pro. While it does take a few days to get used to (weird ratios), it is free and easy to read.

Nope. Chrome downloads a blacklist and uses it to filter out download links. It's similar to how AdBlock Plus works. AdBlock Plus does not have a server that sits around and tells you if an image is an ad or not.

I doubt the blacklist will help me much (I don't catch viruses very often), but it's a nice addition! So long as the URLs for my downloads aren't sent to Google (rather, Google sends a list of URLs to my computer), there's no harm in it.

I never understood why Microsoft had problems including a PDF reader. Antitrust or not, Mac OS has had a PDF reader for a while.

It depends on the style/topic of the lecture. If it is pure memorization, then you probably want to write down as much as you can. If it's something more content focused (math/etc), it may be better to focus on the topic, rather than focus on copying down information on the topic.
