@GunFlame: Sure you can run games higher than 60fps. When running over 100fps and you take a performance hit from insane explosions or whatever... dropping from 100fps to 60fps isnt noticeable, but 60 to 20fps sure as hell is.

@Friedhamster: just bought an Asus 24inch 1080p monitor for 200 bucks on Newegg... Really depends on the size you are looking for. anything 24 inches and below have gotten alot more affordable as far as monitors go. (your definition of affordable may vary from mine)
