I am a civil servant and thank you!

Sometimes, however, it's in our best interest to befriend these strangers because they can help you out.

Okay first, befriending people just so they can do you favors sounds really narcissistic. Secondly, your mailcarrier get a paycheck to do their job. You shouldn't have to bribe them with gifts. That said I also live close to my work and see my mail carrier both at work and at home and am friendly with my mail carrier.

Indeed, it was like a glimpse of the future, a shape of things to come.

Absolutely agree. The Amiga was for its era unparalleled, and many of its innovations silent adorn today's GUIs. And a few others still haven't arrived. I was editing video and playing with 3D and multi-track audio music synthesis on a 512K Amiga 500 way back in the late '80s. Nothing else off the shelf back then

Yeah! Amiga forever! Sorry for sounding so old school but without the shadow of a doubt, for some years the Amiga was the best, leaving every other system behind by far. Everyone who doubts it should look at the state of any other system around the time the Amiga came to be. Nothing came even remotely close.

Of all time? Amiga Workbench 2.1. Loved it! So ahead of its time. *drops mic and walks off stage*

Amiga Workbench 2

AmigaOS ruled the world for a time... And then FreeBSD

And we have a winner - Amiga was so far ahead of its time that OSs are still catching up with some of its concepts and feature set.

Hey you got it on the picture right there!
