Dammit, I thought I'd be one to point this out. Beat me to it.

The black version of Friends was Living Single

I haven't finished the series. I'm about 3/4's done, but I get the criticism. I've wondered about it myself. If you look at Jenji Kohan's main work (Weeds, Orange is the New Black) then you get these same questions. Just how much of the work is satire, how much is real commentary, and how much is purely exploitative?

Mostly eye rolling. But it rhymes.

Well, I don't want to be dismissive of someone's craft but… theater? Ya fuckin serious right now?

So…
How often do you think men are asked to get naked for auditions vs. women?

John Lequizamo has a bit about his childhood experience with the NY fresh air fund, where they send underprivileged youth out to stay with rich families for part of the summer:

So the holy trinity is still The Sopranos, The Wire, and Breaking Bad (most influential, most important, and most exciting respectively) so in that sense, you can say the golden era came and went.

It snuck up on me too. The finale is this week. I think there's really only one website covering it by episode, and there's only a few metacritic reviews.
I thought the first season was just meh, but this one has been really good.

Turns out you'll never go wrong betting on America to make heel turns towards white supremacy.

I absolutely hate the fact that they have Diggs lip synching raps from Nas. Nas's voice is just so distinctive that it's incredibly jarring for me.

We were talking about both shows being bad, with Superbat making the distinction that Homeland at least managed to finish a great first season before it started getting bad while TWD was downhill after the pilot.

I stay lurking in the comments section of the Homeland reviews because I'm just fascinated by the defenders of garbage television shows (don't worry, I do the same thing for The Walking Dead). The passion and delusion is just incredible. It's like going to Jonestown.
I haven't been dissappointed

Donald Trump QED (actually Chris Christie fits this better)

I tend to measure a person's anglo-ness by their aversion to mustard on hotdogs.

I'm on the reviewer's side. Shao and Zeke are a good congruent arcs, but Jackie isn't. He isn't a main character, Myleen is. That makes Jackie a distraction and denies Myleen any real arc (i.e. she isn't presented with any obvious crossroads like Zeke and Shao).
