This is tough for me. I’m an adoptee, from one of her orphanages. So, this idea of her as a saint was a huge foundational belief throughout my childhood/teenage years. My parents still lay my survival (abandoned at a MofC chapter house in Western India) squarely at her feet.

Well.... conventional catholicism is a cult if ever there was one. Top dude (Mr. Pope) is appointed by god to lead the masses. Most of the popes over the century were as far from saintly as you can get. I know I don’t even have to go there with the issues with priests. You know, the guys who are told by god and the

Trump, ffs, is not a god or a some kind of overweight robot. He is old, he is unhealthy, and he is constantly in a state of high-stress. He is now facing real legal trouble that has been percolating long enough that it is becoming “real” for him.

Friends with Benniferits?

I hope Daisy lives a good long time.

I’m trying to wrap my head around the sight of Prince and Sinead O’Connor involved in a foot chase through L.A. in the middle of the night and NOT have “Yakety Sax” play in my head when I do.

Fast forward to today and he’s got far more clothing than I have. Mostly suits and dress shirts and things. He’s in

Eh, why not? I kinda did an overhaul of my wardrobe when I gained weight and started wearing more dresses just to boost my confidence.

Shhhh....set down the credit card...

No no no no no no no. You take your nice space and enjoy it!

I’m with Tonight! Get a few pieces you love! I just bought a jumpsuit I feel amazing in, and a swimsuit I feel confident in after a long year of COVID and a knee injury. If you have a little buffer in your budget it's nice to open your closet and feel excited.

Do it.

No. consume, DerbyDuck.

I’m going to play the Devil on your shoulder and say go for it! Splurge a little on a couple of really nice, quality pieces that will last, but only if they speak to your soul :) I’ve never gone wrong with that. But don’t go out and hunt because you feel like you have to; they’ll practically come to you and you will

Shelter Cat Update!

Put the hangers in the basement and spread the clothes out like they're on display at a museum.

I got my second on Tuesday. The only side effects were exactly the same as the first dose: Sore shoulder.

I don’t understand the game of chicken the CDC is playing but I got my second shot today! Here’s hoping I’m done riding the side effects train for the meeting I volunteered to run on Monday.
