May I suggest an entire channel? Kiddo directed me to Bernadette Banner, and I found myself soothed by her very dignified voice and the close-ups of her sewing Victorian (and earlier) recreations by hand. She also has a great sense of humor about herself.

My optimistic attitude has taken a hard hit the last four years.

You’re my own kid’s age. They’ve gone through a lot of the same things.

I will make my mind up between tacos and pizza (taco pizza? nah) tomorrow. If it’s pizza, I’m ordering out. If tacos, drive-through. Also need to pick up ice cream.

I’m in constant flux between wild hope and quiet despair; between devouring all the news and becoming a Luddite; from comfort eating to intense nausea; from wanting to argue with every Trumphead in my path to considering deleting my accounts. (On that last one, all I have to say is thank God for the mute/block/snooze

My liver needs a break.

Bruce! I follow him on The Twitters, but I always love seeing him on SNS.

I don’t think the election will be called on Tuesday.

Following, because between the Zoloft and the shifting hormones, I need some help too.

Duckling and I voted today. It was their first Presidential election, but not their first election. (They turned 18 two years ago.) Voted for Biden so hard I could feel it from the socially-distanced voting booth over. They also did some research on a lot of things, including the 2 state questions and whether or not

I decided to dress as a nun and go around my downtown celebration on roller blades. (I told everybody I was a Holy Roller - get it? - but I was inspired by The Penguin from The Blues Brothers.)

I’m  happy for you and your son.  It’s good to hear good news nowadays.

I’m currently making stew.  A big pot of beef stew, a smaller pot of mushroom stew (for the vegan in my life).  Deglazed the pots with Guinness beer.  It smells sooooo good in here.

My aunt who had Covid (I talked about her last week) is doing really well now. She’s had her customary negative tests and is slowly (slowly!) returning to work. She was so bored last week she said she would never retire.

Wherever that girl who ratted you out is... I hope she has an itch she can’t scratch today.

*looks back at life*

Best thing she’s done, though, IMO.

Soup and tater tots.

A-welp. A week after I lost one of my oldest friends to Covid, one of my aunts gets it.

Rough week. My friend from all the way back in elementary school died of Covid. I’m still trying to absorb all that.
