Stock. when I bought my second xj (the 2 door), I believe i found the only stock 4wd left unmolested in the state. except the custom body work, AKA beat up fender and bumper

Thanks! I believe it is original engine and transmission. I bout it crashed in the front for $700 when it had 250k on it. replace the header pannel and fenders. Of course it makes a few tapping and clicking noises in the engine but i drive it almost everyday! she just turned over 380k and hoping she will make 400k.…

That sucks man. my 240 was stolen and molested but fortunately the insurance co. (in Sweden) let me keep the car and i repaired it with junk yard parts. I had to sell it for 200 dollars a few years later due to rust. It would no longer pass the government inspection
