If we don't agree on a set of definitions, we cannot make any judgements of anything. You disagree with my definitions - ok. How would you define a good game? I might agree with your definitions. If we can't agree on a definition, then we can't argue either way.

Someone brought up the notion that Uncharted is like a Transformers or an Indiana Jones, which I agree with, to an extent. You could argue that Indiana Jones involves the notion that 'history is a construct' as you've put forth, but I'd argue that Indiana Jones films have a more coherent moral to them. Indy always

I agree with you very much. I think this is A Transformers of sorts - a popcorn flick of games. It's not the end-all of stories, it's something mainstream that people can enjoy for an afternoon. And overall, within that construct, I think you're completely right. If they did what they set out to do, the only thing to

Well, it seems like everyone agrees with you as far as Last of Us. I didn't play the DLC. I just found that Ellie came off as the archetypical rebellious teen, who can also, miraculously, kill everything in sight. Maybe that sounds disingenuous, but many highly 'emotional' moments, like the zombie sniping or the

I appreciate your response and candor. As someone did bring up, it is now a Friday night, so I wouldn't hold it against you not to reply to what may be too long-winded of a discussion to warrant your time, but I'd certainly read through anything you write back.

If getting someone riled up provokes subsequent reasonable discussion, I think it was warranted.

Newsflash - every level in Uncharted 2 sucks. Many more than this.

There was an Ace Combat game released on the 3DS a few years back. An enhanced edition is coming out soon in Japan, and this version will support Nintendo's Amiibo figures. Stick one on and you'll get one of the coolest fighter jets you've ever seen.

Advanced Warfare. 50 bucks.

Two Deadly Girls This is the theme song to the previous installment of the series OneChanbara Z: Kagura. This one is a song that would stylistically fit on the Persona 4 soundtrack and is likewise a lot of fun.

Here is a 12-minute "pilot" that the fan flick's producers hoped to use for crowd-funding a feature-length film.

First I'm hearing of this game, and this company for that matter - rarely has my interest been piqued so much in so short a time! Will be following this one! Great piece Nathan!

Eurogamer's Digital Foundry has done an in-depth comparison between all three versions of the game. It sounds like, from their findings, both the PS4 and Xbox One versions are almost on par visually with the PC version, and while the PS4 has the better performance of the two, both console versions suffer from

I see~ Did you endeavor to get as many games as possible on WiiU or did it just work out that way? I've always tried to judge a console by my chances of spending as much money on games as I do on it, but I don't have the financial prowess to buy every game I find - so I usually only ever get a hand-full of exclusives

Highest: $2,350. No TVs were purchased in this roundup, which seemed to be a large contributing factor to the high costs readers spent on their PS4s and Xbox Ones. Instead, this reader spent most of their Wii U funds on their collection of 106 games.http://kotaku.com/how-much-money...

I read it as Kari was feeling left out cuz all the other kids moved on to Pokemon from Digimon, so Gatomon takes it upon herself to pose as a Pokemon and save her master from embarrassment. And at the end, they reunite and Kari says she only wanted her as a Digimon all along- T_T SOMEONE MAKE THIS MOVIE

The wonderful part of Wasteland 2 is that it demands a particularly patient, studios kind of gameplay because of how opaque it is at face value. That can also be its greatest weakness, however. The game has revealed very little of itself to me. Instead, it's preferred to challenge me to figure everything out myself.
