As dumb as this all is, I LOVE that Ben Chapino decided to jump in and defend Kobe by noting that he had THREE pretty okay years. Even by Ben’s own metrics Kobe was still not even a top 10 player in those three fucking years!

It’s almost criminal that they’ve surrounded Rogers with such shitty receivers for most of his career. He had a few good years with Greg Jennings, but other than that, Jordy Fucking Nelson is probably the best receiver he’s played with. I want to live in an alternate universe where Rogers and Larry Fitzgerald ended up…

So here’s a really funny thing: Kobe wasn’t the best player on any of those five championship teams. When Kobe was the Lakers’ best player (i.e. when he didn’t get to play with peak Pau or Shaq), the Lakers were just a run-of-the-mill good team.
