Yeah, I feel the same way about Catcher in the Rye. It completely turned me off to Salinger. Same thing with Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. I still have no idea what the hell that was about and I am an avid reader. I wonder what it was about those books that pissed me off so much.
