Nerf Now Wins! Fatality!
Nerf Now Wins! Fatality!
I remember when comic books were demonized, when parents would regularly discover them in their child’s room and toss them out as “trash”.
Have made saltwater taffy. It’s fun? If time consuming. And don’t do it of it’s humid.
Fan boy away! Not the toxic gatekeeper fan boy, but a fan boy embracing a joy and having it make their day. If anything, we need more of that.
Comics were traditionally considered work-for-hire, so most creators don’t have rights to residuals or anything from their work or derivative works unless the corporate owners decide to throw them a bone to avoid bad publicity. I haven’t heard about any sort of deal Marvel ever made with Starlin on this.
This is one of the most disingenuous takes I’ve seen in a while.
It is now up to Ring to clarify what is a “valid and binding legal demand properly served”. Are they talking about a subpoena or are they talking about an email? While we can debate over what they actually mean, it also doesn’t actually get us anywhere.
Thank you, I think I’m adorable too.
I’m sorry, perhaps my point was unclear. I am saying the black guy didn’t actually do anything wrong but then he runs by somebody’s Ring camera and suddenly the police are busting his door down. Given that the police have a lengthy history of shooting/otherwise killing people of color who haven’t done anything worth…
NO! God...people are so misinformed and LOVE spreading ill informed news. I have been a Ring customer for a few years now and love it.
I don’t necessarily have a problem with it, but the black guy who coincidentally happens to be taking a jog at the same time someone breaks into a house in the area might feel differently when the cops knock his door down.
I feel you man. I have trouble buying this Chemistry book because it’s the same size as my Math book.
From what I read, that is what they said. And that is cool.
Alternatively, it is a store. Don’t buy the product. If you want to reduce it to something so basic, I have no reason to switch stores.
I am not mad, I am just not going to buy the game. I really don't have any interest in the friction of managing yet another launcher.
Capitalism? Oh, you mean the thing where I’m free to pick which games I buy and play based on any reason I’d like, including which storefronts they’re available on. I’ve been doing that for quite some time.
So in a nutshell they’re telling us, “We care more about the money we’re getting from the deal rather than what the people who buy our games think.”
Just on the last point, they did more than put the issue in perspective. They dismissed the issue. They started by suggesting that people who don’t like Epic are doing it for the sake of being angry:
Epic Games is also actively misleading people as to how long they’ve had a store.
Honestly putting this article on brotaku is going to exacerbate the harassment they’re about to receive from a bunch of people who were never planning to buy this game anyway.
