There is a great book out “Slickyboy” about the Amerasian/Blasian identity. Its an autobiography. Als checkout “Eurasian Tiger” he ges into hapa issues and racism against all races pretty hard.
I was not implying that she was actively “Passing” for white, but was light enough so that she could or has been mistaken / or treated as such. The idea that she was shocked or even against you having to discuss what being a black male in American society just seemed strange to me.
