I do a combination of the first three options. I cannibalize for parts and then use them parts to create/update a Frankenstein computer. I mostly use this computer as a testbed for new operating systems, or if I need to set up a clean Linux build for some special purpose. I also use it sometimes as a loaner machine if

I wonder how much more that costs per year in electricity than a "real" digital photo frame. I bet a real one would pay for itself in just a year ;)

That's what it's for. It does the same thing as the thing in this article, but adds a power source and a microphone (the two things this thing is missing)

not to mention better service* in the future (at least that is the idea)

It's supposed to be "The Best Full Size Tablet" but then you go and throw the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 in there, which has no business being on this list. You start by saying "The Kindle Fire HD is not a complete tablet" and then go on to say "And its smaller 8.9-inch size makes it the lightest and thinnest of any tablet in

It's a good tablet... but not top 5. Perhaps if you are a student interested in using it for taking notes... then that might tip the scales. But in terms of general "good-ness" it's not in the top 5

This was my old HTC Incredible back in May before I upgraded... The replacement screen was only like $16ish, so that was good.

I'd rather pay a little more and get something with (a) a microphone, and (b) a power source. Something like this... http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-BlackBerry-Smartphones/dp/B004CLYJ2I

Cricket and rugby are both pretty popular around the world too... that doesn't mean anyone gives a shit about them here.

except that people watch it

For me at least, I've always found that when it's not available on the remote, the TV conveniently doesn't have the button either. I feel like hotels specifically buy ones that don't have it. I don't stay at hotels too often, so maybe I'm just unlucky.

Unless you carry around a universal remote (which actually may not be a bad idea), that still doesn't fix the problem of not actually having an "Input" button on those proprietary remotes they all use.

MS Paint

Agree

Did "yusunkwon" manually stitch those photos together or what? No WAY that was done with software.

Sometimes even if the TV does have the newfangled inputs, the stupid remotes don't let you change the source. In situations like that, the RF adapter is a good idea.

Nobody needs IMAP when Exchange is an option. And if Exchange isn't an option with your client, find a new client software because it suuucks. :-p

I would think that the power drain from charging a phone would be pretty small compared to the power being consumed by the display and CPU. Not sure though. Either way, if your laptop is that low on battery, you're probably going to want that phone charged ;)

Yea I don't know what he's talking about either. Any android device is able to join a wifi network created with one of these tethering apps. Wifi is wifi. That's what standards are for.

wow
