But Chris Evans, Scarlet Johansson and Chris Hemsworth were always perfectly cast. From the go they got the characters. They never felt flat or awkward in the role like Brie Larson did.

Palo Alto specifically depicts the coach/teacher as a complete asshole abuser and he even played that role himself. The whole movie is about bored/depressed rich people doing bad things and that includes the coach. It is not an endorsement of that behavior it calls it out as everyday evil.
