Dude, look where you are, by default ALL men are at fault. Two people get shitfaced at a party and have sex? Woman didn’t consent, so inebriated guy somehow had clearer judgement thus = rape.

I’m quite sure you’re right. He’s a goodand very respectful kid and has never had any trouble making friends. He didn’t need to join but he wanted to. I’m glad there is at least one chapter of a social fraternity out there that I should like his and I hope they continue to set an example of how to do it right.

This is the same logic of getting rid of Trump. Even if you did, you still have the Trump supporters. Getting rid of frats doesn’t eliminate the men who populate those frats.

Thank you. Count me among the ranks of those who Just Don’t Get It. The woman is irritating and charisma-free

I’m kind of weirded out by this trend of creating all female reboots of successful movies. Not that I think it’ll “ruin” the movie or that we don’t need more movies with strong female casts (this cast sounds great and I’m sure the movie will be good). I just don’t like using women as a gimmick. Featuring women in

Mad Max was great. You’re spot-on with everything else, though.

Like it or not, removing an elected official from office or preventing them from taking elected office based on an accusation and not an investigation (though I think the intent is to obviously spark an investigation) is a seriously dangerous road to travel.

“Fuck people who report crimes to the police”

Gosh darn that guy reporting vandalism of a historical building. Such an asshole.

The “punching up / punching down” idea is so overplayed. Who is or is not oppressed should not be the only standard by which we judge something is worthy of justice. Especially since power is a fluid and dynamic thing that changes by circumstance.

This needs a lot more love. I’m going to steal this.

Statutes of limitations don’t usually stay on the books because the crimes effects ended but because the ways that time effects the ability of the trial to be successful (for the prosecution) and fair for the defense (finding people to back up an alibi is hard after years).

I’m all for expanding a kid’s worldview, but Syria is a literal active war zone. If i were in Pitt’s situation, I’d voice some very definite concerns about putting my children in harm’s way as well. We’re not talking about falling off a bike, nobody disputes that people are getting killed regularly and with great

Problem with that view is that it’s based on a rather large false dichotomy.

I liked George Clooney’s response--and I didn’t find it “hilarious” or particularly awkward. It was a mixture of “That sucks for my friends” and thinly veiled disgust at a weasely reporter asking him to comment on celebrity gossip (about his friends) while he was at the United Fucking Nations, probably talking about

“Clooney’s lack of emotion and near robotic delivery (the man is media trained to death) makes for uncomfortable viewing.”

I might be wrong about this, but isn’t it pretty ordinary in divorce to ask for more than you want to leave space for negotiation? So she’ll ask for sole physical, he’ll ask for 50-50 joint physical, and they’ll come out at the normal kind of thing where he gets the kids every other weekend or whatever.

“This is the problem with police mentality. They didn’t become cops to “serve and protect.” They became cops so that they could have power over other people”
