There’s been a lot of talk about responsible reporting of mass shootings for a very good reason: There’s evidence that fame (infamy) is a motivating factor. This is one factor that the media can mitigate.

If you just told me a democrat wanted to cut corporate tax and gave me no additional context, and I didn’t already know a lot about corporate tax, I would assume there was a reason for it.
