Did it originally? I believe it originally said it might be super expensive due to new manufacturing techniques. I think the article was updated.

I’d love to see the price, but I could see getting one and throwing it in the trunk of my car. I live in Florida. We get rained on randomly, and usually in high heat or humidity. Having something that breathes would be GLORIOUS.

Bingo. And the rest of the fleet surrenders because dragons.

I was JUST about to say that.

Saw this. Got out iPhone. Bought book.

Didn’t lose it with the colors. Lost it at pantlessly reporting (fought with autocorrect on that one a few times). Also insanely jealous of that fact.

I guess I do it really, really wrong. I rest the inner blade of my right foot on the brake, and rotate it to the right to use the outer blade of said foot to blip the throttle.

Now if only they’d bring back PUSH.

Yes, I do realize that. But I had to establish a baseline for myself, so I had a benchmark to measure it against. After reading numbers for GT-Rs and C7 Z06 brakes, I wanted to establish a baseline.

My MINI had sensors, plus the normal shims that made noise, that broke basically every time you tried to do anything with the brakes. My buddy ended up zip-tying the sensor off to the side so it wouldn’t break and trip the computer that the pads are worn. I just waited until the pads made noise, or I kept an eye on

And that’s a fair point. I get frustrated by the people saying this is the “everyman’s supercar” or an “affordable supercar” without mentioning the fact that the buy in is cheaper, yes, but the maintenance is par for the supercar course.

Interesting. Good to know. For reference in my own mind, on the prices people were quoting (even for aftermarket stuff) on various GT-R forums, I looked up prices. I can get good slotted rotors for my MX-5 (2012) for $119/pair front and $99/pair rear, and roughly the same if I go with Hawk HP Plus pads. That’s around

Now, I’ve never owned an ///M car (closest is my Miata, because it starts with an M), but I’ve been reading around. OEM parts, even buying them and installing them yourself, isn’t cheap. People are reporting transmission fluid for $80 a quart, and the transmission takes 10 quarts of it, differential fluid costing $74

Twice, I do mean. Thanks for the spot there. I went back and re-wrote that sentence a few times and didn’t adjust.

My biggest issue with the GT-R is that yes, it will happily chase down cars twice its price for you. But then you go to have it serviced and you’re paying supercar prices for service. Brake jobs, pads and rotors, that have commas in them.

First thing I mentioned to my friend who roots for the O’s. I thought she meant Robin, and I wondered when the O’s signed Nolan!

    Java Black Pearl or bust.

But... but... why can’t we have the SWB or the 2-door? Want that. Want very that.

Pretty sure I saw that on a 911 at Disney Springs yesterday. It is a STUNNING color in person. Pictures don’t do justice.

Saw one of these flying at the Fort Lauderdale Air Show on Mother’s Day. The Heritage Flight wasn’t that exciting; you could tell the Lightning II was just above stall speed so the Mustang could keep up, but then he got to play a little:
