It took me a while to figure out that was one car and not two. Then I saw there was no rear wheels on the “front” section. Goodness.

Because retractable things are cool. Cool people have retractable TVs in their houses. TVs that retract into fireplaces!
If you want someone to steal it, lock the keys inside and put a sticky note on the door with the passcode?
That FMIC looks to be in a precarious place... why switch to a front mount and put it in danger if you have a perfectly good top mount?
I was given first dibs on a white, 6-speed, 2-door GTI PP with Lighting, but unfortunately my girlfriend was moved from her full-time gig to freelancing, and I can’t count on her income paying half the mortgage every month, so I had to pass it up.
The BRZ, MX-5 (ND), MINI Cooper S (which I drive now in R56 form) and FIAT 500 Abarth are on my shortlist for my next car. I live in Florida. Though we have 70mph speed limits, most of the time, I’m on B-roads at 45 to 55mph. I don’t need all the horsepower on earth to drive. Give me something that feels fast and…
Looks like the PA announcer will be there, so... maybe?
Not to be "that guy" but shouldn't it be "big hairy" not "big harry?"
Nice find. I was assuming it was an LP 560-4, but that shot makes it look like the LP 570-4 Superleggera instead.
Being a Disney local and a petrolhead, I took particular interest in this. First off, Petty Holdings states that one must be 16 years old to drive one of their Exotic Cars (gleaned this from their FAQs), except at Walt Disney World and Daytona, where one must be at least 18 years old. The FAQs also state that one must…
Just take a 90* bend and direct the exhaust straight down. We had people beat the meter at autocross like that ALL the time. Tarmac does a great job of muffling exhaust :)
Uh... keep the purple. I dig it!
Heck of a way to put it in perspective. Thanks for that! :)
Welcome to Orlando, FL, mates!
Targa GTS sounds lovely right now :)
I drive an R56 Cooper S and I love everything about this JCW, except the lack of a manual transmission. If they don't offer it with one, I won't even bother looking at it; the Cooper S will have to be enough for me. Or maybe an Abarth 500.
After reading this, I'm even more excited to find out what you end up with.
Fantastic article, but as the owner of a MINI Cooper S (R56 with the limited slip differential) I take issue with implying that it's not a "real" car.
As I said on Twitter, I recommend something obscure and with a hard to spell name, like a Donkervoort. Purely because I want to see you torture the DMV when you try to register it and get plates.
