On this week's Untucked she mentions that she can't do soft, blended makeup like Farrah because she's insecure about her skin and her appearance, so it seems like she really cakes it on. This makes sense to me, but it doesn't excuse it either.

I don't think there's ever been a straight male queen, but that idea is interesting. From what I know, most of the contestants over the course the show have identified as men, with the exception of a handful that came out as trans (usually after the show aired). As far as pronouns go, when we say She/Her, we are…
I was really upset about that too. Love Shack ANDDD the B52s as judges on the 2nd ep? What a waste.
Sorry girl, but Charlie's lackluster lip sync ALONE proves he is not winner material.
"Week 4 of Alexis escaping critiques. Hope she really turns it out soon"
HELLO Huntyssss! Here's my thoughts on Ep 4:
strange, I'm a native NYer and I'm not familiar with any of that, but i'm sure you know best.
I just don't understand how the producers don't see this issue when watching this on a monitor. It's so bad.
That's not what I saw on untucked, but ok.
Ginger did not deserve to win IMHO.
thanks for that tidbit! I'm always happy to know the queens are all friends behind the scenes.
that's a huge generalization.
Oh please. Raja is just a hater. She even admitted it.
I'm assuming the sidekicks were on a monitor playing simultaneously while they walked the runway.
THANK YOU! I've been complaining about the blue/pink stage lights forever. Its impossible to tell what colors they're wearing when they hit the runway, and I know its not my TV since my shit is new and on point.
I'm wondering if your assessment of Valentina is due to her lack of interaction with other queens. Other than that, I can't understand how she reads as "empty" - her strong cultural background is represented fully and her ability to be funny is a pleasant surprise.
I had the opposite reaction. Aja's makeup is god awful, her look was a hot mess (no pun intended), and then she came up in there lashing out at Valentina, who's polished af, beautiful, and humble. Even when she admitted that she was just lashing out because she was disappointed in her critique, she didn't bother…
"The other queens seem to dislike or be lukewarm towards Valentina. We'll see if they claim she's playing a character."
WE CAN ONLY HOPE
Like I mentioned further down the comments, I want to believe she just wanted to have an airhead "moment" for TV. I refuse to believe that a grown adult doesn't know what an adjective is. I refuse!
I don't know if I'm necessarily rooting for Farrah (my heart belongs to Valentina), but I do enjoy the final image she creates. She's pretty and her looks have been polished. Unfortunately, she really needs some more personality and creativity.
