Both of my cars are at 14 years old and 6 years old, respectively. Both have under 100,000 miles. Unless one of them gets destroyed in a wreck or becomes mechanically totaled in the next decade, I probably won’t buy a new ICE vehicle unless it’s a pickup truck before GM goes 100% EV for passenger vehicles.

What’s amazing is that Parkview is a NONPROFIT. They don’t have any shareholders they are beholden to. It’s bad enough when venture capital funds start investing in small practices, but WTF is a nonprofit corporation doing trying to extort more money out of people who are actually covered by the limited

Well, I do understand explosive decompression, and I’m also a scuba diver and know that my tank is only rated to 3,000 PSI, not 10,000 PSI, for very good reasons. I also have a friend who was in an accident with his CNG-powered Honda Civic. The tank exploded, but there was no fire or injuries. According to Hyundai, no

These are halo cars. Nobody needs a halo car. The Corvette is a halo car. Chevrolet is still Chevrolet without the Corvette. But they are aspirational vehicles and good for marketing.

A variety of engineering and administrative positions over 18 years will likely lead to a VP position. FCEVs are hardly dead end tech and will likely supplant heavy diesel powerplants in OTR and industrial applications where batteries are not practical.

The crazy thing is, the primary competitor to these things were Buick Regal T-types and Grand Nationals. The Buicks are worth hella money because they were legitimately fast then and now, but nobody wants a T-bird with a Pinto engine.

That’s pretty much “higher” education in a nutshell. I wouldn’t say any of my professors suffered from an overabundance of common sense.

Neutral: If he’s going to shut down oil wells and coal mines and kill the energy companies that own them, at least put the sites on the Superfund list so the government will pay to clean them up. Right now remediation for abandoned mines and wells must be paid for by the owners, but if the owners no longer exist, you

It’s funny, I subscribed to PS/PM when I was a kid and I get the exact same feeling reading David Tracy articles as I did back then. Only Popular Science could make a 12 year old understand the physics behind buckminsterfullerene and graphene.

Very few indeed. Probably the only other auto executive that has comparable (and mostly likely greater) product knowledge is Mary Barra. She worked on the line while she was an engineering student at GMI/Kettering and was later in charge of global production engineering.

So Pizza Hut decided to get in on the Little Caesar’s flava? Righteo!

Probably Cummins, Navistar, or Caterpillar. OTR and medium-duty trucks and tractors will probably still use them long after passenger cars have converted to EV. Ford and GM will likely keep producing V8s as crate engines for repairs and hobbyists until it becomes uneconomical to support those needs. I’m surprised

I mean, if it was running and the 4wd worked, maybe, but it won’t even start. Instant ND over $2500 for a no-start.

Hot take: all British cars, except vintage Jags, are ugly.

The only thing I can think of that would be more boring is a show about an appliance manufacturer. Maybe it’ll be better than all the stupid game shows they’re running right now.

We have those. They’re called rivers.

Jesse was supposed to drive an E36 BMW M3 or an Audi A4 S4 because he was a bit of a techie. But again, the cars that showed up to casting didn’t really fit, so he ended up in the Volkswagen Jetta.

Full disclosure: This is a blog for people who are interested in paying taxes for a better society. If your idea of a good country is one with zero taxes, then please close this tab now, there’s nothing for you here.

“Or at least until gas prices soar and Americans want good, small, fuel-efficient cars again.”
