It’s not like I don’t already have several stock 1/64 Gunmetal Grey R32s from various diecast brands already but this custom had to happen. It’s so pointlessly stock. Yet I still find it glorious.
My trips to the local collectibles show almost always include some pieces picked up on behalf of other fellow LaLDers. But for once, this hawl is all to myself.
This thing has really tipped my happiness scale.
This arrived at the beginning of the month but it’s been a WILD February for me that’s kept me away from LaLD. Well in exchange for a few mainlines, I got a few cards I needed for a mail-in... plus a surprise!
Kimba said I’d have a post up on the Mini GT Type Rs soon. Well I’ll need to at least have the time to sit down and write a few words for it. This pic will have to do for now
Dollar Tree find. Samanosuke came up with the name.
Cream seats and tan interior on this Nissan Silvia. Looks a little plastic on this TLVN but I dig the retro look.
I wanna get around to doing a full post but that requires either time to write or time to take proper photos. Anyways, my weekend wasn’t completely empty. Picked up some custom-made Real Rider alternatives and they were quite cheap.
I wasn’t kidding
First of a few purchases from the same place over the course of a week. One major pick-up and then a few more for the sake of combined shipping. Plus a few others that aren’t mine, also for the sake of combined shipping
A request from me for R32 to hold something for me stayed dormant for a few months and once the ball started rolling, boom! I got exactly what I was looking for and R32 got exactly what he was looking for!
So when the clock struck midnight between December 31st and January 1st, this was what I was putting the finishing touches on.
The long weekend is over and it feels like a Monday. It helped that I finally had the time to work on/finish this long-awaited custom over the weekend! But because it’s Wait a Sec Wednesday so you’ll have to wait a sec until I reveal the whole thing.
Usually the mall is the last place you would go on Christmas Day. But Great Scott I have an idea! I’m gonna go to my local mall for some pictures!
This is the other “FD” “Type R” that my dad brought back from last month’s trip to Hong Kong. And installing those mirrors was oh such a pain.
The first JH2 I was able to find. When I found this sitting alone on a random endcap at Target, I thought this would be the only JH2 I would ever find. Ended up becoming my favorite from the set.
Got a few packages over the past week, including an unexpected box marked “LaLD” that came from Ohio with no name on it. Hmm...
My go-to seller for diecast was out of town for a few weeks. So after taking a break from hunting, I went all out and spent $$$ on 1/64s.
11 years ago from this day, I purchased a diecast model. Over time, it earned the status of being the most important piece in my collection.
It didn’t matter that this isn’t a car or diecast brand that I care about but as soon as I knew it was going to have the livery of my favorite tuner, I knew I had to have it.
