Matte olive is so much better to shoot with than matte black
Doctor Suarez was thinking of what wheels might work on his matte black 180SX project so I tried a few combinations out for him. I thought the color combination looked a bit funny, and then I realized what this actually looks like from the side.
I’ve been quite spendy lately. And this only makes it worse.
I don’t feel like grabbing a screwdriver right now so...
I keep neglecting to share photos of Mini GT’s second-latest new casting. This is the Pagani Huayra Roadster in the first standard release color, Blue Francia.
Oops... $20 each is still a heck of a steal though. But oops.
Either matte black is difficult to take good photos of in 1/64 or matte black is very difficult to take photos of in general.
I usually don’t venture out and buy something that doesn’t fit a theme in my collection but after seeing a few bososuku/shakotan cars at the HW Legends Tour a few weeks back, I realized I totally need something like that in my collection.
Apparently the 1:1 sits in an underground garage not too far from where I work and was disassembled at one point.
A few things finally happened this week:
One year ago from today, I returned from a trip to Hong Kong (and Hokkaido, Japan). After 3 weeks, this is what I brought back home.
RIP my wallet
I had quite the weekend, kicking Saturday off with the Hot Wheels Legends Tour at Mattel HQ in El Segundo. I left without any diecast to bring home but I still got a lot of enjoyment out of my day.
Hmm, we’re halfway through the month of ///May. ///May this be the first Bimmer post of the month?
Been eyeing this at my go-to diecast vendor for a few weeks. Was higher than the eBay price but I’m happy to overpay the guy who sells me everything else at crazy bargains.
Remember that glorious time I stacked four MBX Flatbed Kings on top of each other? Well be careful what you do with your diecasts because it might come true.
Unlike the other regular release Liberty Walk GT-Rs, this one doesn’t have the big rising sun design on the side. But I guess the little one on the wing still counts.
