RIP my wallet
I had quite the weekend, kicking Saturday off with the Hot Wheels Legends Tour at Mattel HQ in El Segundo. I left without any diecast to bring home but I still got a lot of enjoyment out of my day.
Hmm, we’re halfway through the month of ///May. ///May this be the first Bimmer post of the month?
Been eyeing this at my go-to diecast vendor for a few weeks. Was higher than the eBay price but I’m happy to overpay the guy who sells me everything else at crazy bargains.
Remember that glorious time I stacked four MBX Flatbed Kings on top of each other? Well be careful what you do with your diecasts because it might come true.
Unlike the other regular release Liberty Walk GT-Rs, this one doesn’t have the big rising sun design on the side. But I guess the little one on the wing still counts.
I cracked mine open too. Am I doing it right?
It’s been a few months since my dad has flown overseas and had my diecast orders brought back. This time I was a little too tired and just went back to bed before opening and posting about it immediately.
This happens every single time I crack open a new Mini GT.
Did my usual trip to the collectibles show in the area. This time with a little LaLD meet up... again. Doctor Suarez was in town again and he finally got to explore the diecast without kids asking when they’re gonna leave. My part of the hawl:
The last piece of a string of unusually pricey purchases I made within the span of a week back in January has finally arrived... and I finally got around to take some photos two weeks later.
Found this guy almost freshly tossed into a dump bin a few months back and saved it before it got scratched up. Pretty nice find for 50 cents.
I was meaning to take a few pics of the racing Hako but a loose stock Hako was conveniently sitting right there so why not?
Oh it’s been a while since I’ve taken/posted a shot like this. After rearranging my desk which made it less photo friendly, junk started piling up for a month or two since I spend more time sitting in traffic than at my desk. Now I finally found some time to clear off the surface for a few photos!
It’s not like I don’t already have several stock 1/64 Gunmetal Grey R32s from various diecast brands already but this custom had to happen. It’s so pointlessly stock. Yet I still find it glorious.
My trips to the local collectibles show almost always include some pieces picked up on behalf of other fellow LaLDers. But for once, this hawl is all to myself.
This thing has really tipped my happiness scale.
This arrived at the beginning of the month but it’s been a WILD February for me that’s kept me away from LaLD. Well in exchange for a few mainlines, I got a few cards I needed for a mail-in... plus a surprise!
Kimba said I’d have a post up on the Mini GT Type Rs soon. Well I’ll need to at least have the time to sit down and write a few words for it. This pic will have to do for now
