Me thinks your white guilt is preventing you from criticizing a black woman and blinding you from the obvious which was that Banks vitriol was genuine.

Obviously, they were trying to recreate this kind of magic but failed:

“In women it also doesn’t account for how big one’s breasts are, and they vary quite a lot.”

I think the attempt to invalidate the ratio is a part of an understandable backlash against body shaming. Absent any other information it isn’t directly useful, but yeah, most people with high BMIs do not have them because we are gymrat beefcakes. This includes myself, BTW.

I see this view and I just can’t comprehend how anybody believes it. It’s not “almost completely useless.” It’s “not a perfect guideline,” but that’s a far cry from pretending we’re all Arnold Schwarzenegger in muscle density.

Yes. I do not care about their age difference, and I do not care who is dating who (I mean, I’m interested, but I don’t care, but every single one of her posts left me saying “Grossssssss,” with a higher and more fevered inflection, until I was finally relieved for it to be over.

I’m 34 and was dumped by a 45 year old for a 21 year old last year. I’ve been on dates with six different dudes, ages 38-57, in the last seven months who told me either on the date or in a follow up that they just really need someone under 30. Against my better judgment, I saw a 48 year old a few time who told me

If anyone needs an object lesson in why kids and young teenagers can’t give informed consent, this is it.

I was like, “Please, please please, be a well-intentioned but ill-advised attempt to teach a valuable lesson about internet safety and privacy . . . Oh Lord, have mercy.”

Exactly, I actually love that “woman engineer” quote. Comes from the same episode I mention above. As a woman working closely to the VC / tech world, this show often hits home. In another episode they show a female VC being told to not dress too attractively as she’s turning down a company for funding. It’s obvious

I buy this, though. I don’t have a problem with the lack of diversity on this show, because I feel like its entire role is lampooning the absurdity of silicon valley culture. It’s supposed to be an exaggerated version of start-up/venture politics, not an idealized version of it. They even have a whole episode about

That was unnecessary and kind of mean.

“Glad he didn’t shoot or get his eye shot out” aghhhh why would assume that!

He was not, and apparently neither is Leslie Jones. Because apparently Hollywood hasn’t gotten the message that black people go to college now, too.
