No buts, honestly. I think we do have it, outside of a few extreme cases, and I think that’s an important right.
I’ve heard similar stories about other European countries. There’s plenty of problems with America, but near-universal freedom of speech, even for shitty thoughts like this asshole’s, is something I’m glad we have.
As a Knicks fan, I wish we had done this “process” 15 years ago. You can argue that it hurts competitive balance, but I wouldn’t complain about “the poor fans.” Any fan of a team should realize that a few years of shitty basketball can really pay off, where as a decade of .500 basketball does nothing for you.
it was pretty funny
But fucking Elmo, amirite?
That’s an awfully long response for what was probably a comment saying “we’re worse than mediocre.”
And cheating. Long history of cheating.
Whoa, don’t let context stop people from supporting their own narratives.
It can’t be worse than whoever was performing during the Thanksgiving halftime show in Detroit. That was once of the worst halftime shows I’ve ever seen.
I’ve been following the Canes prospective coaches for weeks now, and not once did I hear anyone seriously mention Kelly as a candidate.
Well, couple points. First, just about every successful coach in college football gets caught up in something if they got someone looking to catch them, it’s not just Miami. There are very few “clean” programs who manage to be successful.
It’s safe to say that Browns don’t actually care about Manziel’s health (I mean, when has any NFL team cared about the health of a player except in situations when they either are trying to make some money or trying avoid a lawsuit). His alleged drinking problem (or him just being a dipshit 22-year-old) is of no…
I don’t think I’m trying to put a minimum level of qualification for racism. I just don’t think this is a good example of a serious racial issue. Racism IS a huge problem, and it’s very apparent in how the media presents certain things, but this is not a good example of it. The comments about Newton, I believe, were…
It’s not a strong example of anything. Nothing you said about the double-standard is false, as there is a big problem in this country where actions of a black person are seen in a different light than those same actions of a white person.
Well, by that standard, half the people I knew in college were alcoholics. If Manziel is an alcoholic, it's for reasons we haven't seen. He's acting like every 22 year old ever from what we've seen.
He told my dad he was...
Which makes it pretty easy to fix the whole hack-a-shaq/dwight/josh smith/whoever problem. Just extend that to any time. A foul away from the ball is two shots and the ball (maybe make an exception for pick plays, where I imagine the majority of non-intentional away-from-the-ball fouls occur).
I mean, I somewhat agree. A simultaneous catch would go to the offense, as they ruled (and the call cannot be overturned by replay). But, it seems that the Green Bay player had control of the ball, and Tate really didn't. Still, it was a judgement call, and it's not ridiculous to argue it was simultaneous. Not a great…
I always felt that the criticisms of the replacement refs a few years ago was completely overblown. The real refs are every bit as bad. To this day, I am confidant that the real refs could easily have messed up the “Fail Mary” play just as much.
