Dissent, but obviously subjective. Part of what made Frank work for me in DDS2 was certainly the contrast between Frank and Matt and the rapport between Frank and Karen. It also made it easier that Frank was not the star and often the antagonist. It’s possible that Punisher will be a bad show, no question, but I’m

That Bender and Hermes is a good one too. I cry.

Damn it, you made me think the show was coming back! A less clickbaity headline would have used the word ‘syndication’.

Grimy Firebird?

Why are people so hung up on Spock never mentioning her? He never mentioned Sybok until he was absolutely forced to.

Aha, you’ve solved it! That must be why Spock never mentioned her! He never forgave her for swiping his book!

I think she stole Spock’s copy of that book. She’s seems to have an evil streak in her, that Burnham.

I’m hoping it hits a solid balance between those two stools. Burnham is pretty clearly the main character, but a Trek show needs an ensemble to work fully. Even TOS had the Kirk/Spock/Bones triad at its core.

Even better, Burnham reciting Alice is a deep Trek continuity nod. The flashback of Medusa saying “Hello, I’m Medusa” - the line delivery was so bad it reminded me of Tommy Wiseau.

It felt more like “Once Upon a Time” than “Agents of Shield”.

This was substantially worse than I had expected, even given the reviews. So many baffling choices. Just off the top of my head: Making Ken Jeung boring; having the “heroes” be active proponents of a sort of feudal system that seems quite oppressive; two shitty covers of iconic songs in back-to-back scenes; every

After reading all the previous reviews I expected this to be much, much worse but it had some entertaining moments. I was greatful for the loss of Medusa’s hair CGI because that was painful and both Swan and Mount improved once in human clothes (I wondered how uncomfortable their costumes must be). I too liked Gorgon

X....Men? Is that a comic series or something?

Between Game of Thrones and Misfits, I’m not too worried about his ability to bounce back. I’m more interested in seeing Swan do something meatier, she had some decent scenes towards the end of the second episode. Mount is really just making her look bad.

As someone who likes Iwan Rheon as an actor, I’m happy to hear that he comes out of this with his acting prowess unscathed.
