The means to which to delay FitzSimmons return to Earth were pretty contrived I’ve got to say. The Izel character might be good tho and I’m curious what these artifacts on Earth she’s looking for are. Likely Monolith related.
I don’t really recall there ever being any real resolution like that on Daisy’s part. The most that we maybe get is her bit to Daddy Kasius about how people fight but not without respect. But even that seems highly suspect given Yo-Yo and her were duking it out in the previous episode and people were stabbing each…
I get that but this mind prison seemed like the best opportunity to bring the topic up and just based on how the topic’s been avoided by the show and the people working on it it feels like it might not at this point.
The idea is that much like the memory of Fitz’ dead body she wouldn’t have been able to keep that memory from him and thus he’d be able to see it.
Well I would figure that having a mind prison that would showcase events that Fitz had missed out on would be a good way for him to find out about what happened to Daisy and then he and the real her could have a conversation later on about it.
At this point I’m willing to say that Wesley’s arc was probably the more successful of the two. If only because when they did pull that mind-wipe a)it didn’t really feel it was out of desperation to restore the Angel/Wesley relationship since I think they had reached a bit of stability at some point b)he did…
EPISODE 6 SPOILERS
But as I’ve alluded to if Jemma couldn’t control what was being shown then narrative wise it feels weird that she wasn’t able to stop her repression monster from coming through but was still able to hold back the information about Fitz and Daisy.
The thing is Simmons downplaying is kind of an issue. Like this whole episode was about things she had repressed coming to haunt her. If the surgery was not one of those things or not important enough to get into the nitty gritty than what does that say about Simmons. That she was mostly cool with her friend being…
Even if it’s more of a Daisy/Fitz thing it was still a pretty big deal and something that Jemma would probably be concerned about telling him. And heck she actually mentions that he had a breakdown during the episode and yet the actual details of that breakdown aren’t elaborated on.
I really want to hope your right. But I have very little faith at this point that they actually will.
So they’ve pretty much sealed the deal that they aren’t gonna bring up about what Fitz (and to some extent Jemma) did to Daisy in S5 right? Like they acted like mentioning Deke was the last thing Jemma had to bring up. I mean maybe it can still be brought up but at this point I’d have to say it’s pretty unlikely. In…
Seems apparent that this situation is drawing from both Fitz and Simmons’ memories.
I do miss this joke in regards to this show. It’s nice to bring it back when you can.
That’s Agent Gristle McThornBeef to you!
This episode was fine mostly. Moved some pieces around. It’s nice that we’re revisiting some Monolith stuff since they just kind of dumped a lot of extra stuff with them in the last season in a kind of half-baked manner.
Yeah they are in the birthday video Simmons watches.
Actually doctor guy said it in Ep2 when he was thinking of possible theories for Sarge.
“Yo-Yo kind of forgot she had super speed”
