The theories that Cobain was murdered also don't account for the fact that the lyrics of his final album were largely about hating himself and wanting to die. Like, the original title of the album was actually I Hate Myself And Want To Die
Fair enough. Like I said it seemed mild to me but the "you" statements - "You seem pretty concerned…" …other people's bodies are theirs not yours…" "…None of your business…" definitely struck me as judgey.
I thought Dan Savage's column above was an example of this. As far as I can tell, the letter-writer was asking a sincere, earnest question about the boundaries between unhealthy and healthy body-mind discordance, and Savage couldn't help but pull out the judgey, self-righteous tone. It was mild, but was it necessary?…
I don't think out-of-court settlements can be used as precedent - most include a no-fault clause and precedent is only established by a court verdict. In other words, part of the reason for large settlement payments is that it prevents the case from being used in the future. So, that's part of the reason I'm…
I'm disappointed that Jordan settled. He's injured and I have no right to expect him to be a crusader in this case, but when big companies settle, they just keep the same policies that hurt people. Domino's Pizza settled over and over when their drivers kept killing people while attempting to deliver pizzas in 30…
Even more reason to ask, "Hey, what sort of liquid are you placing under my father's tongue right now?"
If you're unaware of your father's sublingual nitrogyclerine prescription, I can't imagine you've exactly been engaged in his care.
Part of the reason this is funny to me is that I am definitely not obsessed with pop culture, and don't think about it very much. And I also frequently make dumb jokes in my dreams.
If it isn't real, I want it to be.
Allen Iverson, denying a claim (made by former teammmate Matt Barnes to Sports Illustrated) that he would sometimes spend $40,000 a night at a strip club in Philadelphia:
"First of all it was like $9,000 at the most and there were never any strippers at the TGI Friday's on City Line. Unless I brought them. Sometimes I…
This is super cool! I didn't even know it was a thing. I'm going to Ghana in September, maybe I can get something made there!
Does the theme song from Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air count?
"violence will become the focus if it continues in its current form"
Man, every time the topic of Leno comes up, people talk about how he was so awesome back before he sold out and I have still never seen any evidence of this pre-safe-and-boring Jay Leno.
Alls I know is that I'm happy any time I get to see a CNN headline with the phrase "Epic Twitter Rant" because I know I will learn valuable lessons.
Back in George Carlin's sharpest, meanest and most coked-up years, he packed a whole lot of words into these 65 seconds:

It's worth a try! http://twitter.com/M_Hedberg
Drea De Matteo lost her home too.
Totally true - but I'm saying that we'd never hear the end of it either way. If an Obama-pardoned drug user opened up a bakery, the Republicans would claim that pie is not delicious. So he may as well just proceed with doing the right thing.
