This article is bizarre.

Why do we WANT a drip-feed of advertising that reveals half the game before it’s even out, exactly? That seems pointless. If we know we want the game, then we don’t need it and it’ll just hurt the experience. If we don’t know, then we shouldn’t be looking to advertising for that decision, we

Believing #1 completely destroys the moral dilemma that the ending intended. “There is no way” lol. You guys can never engage with this story point in good faith and it’s wild. You guys seem you’ll accept nothing short of Druckmann himself walking onto the screen during the show/game and saying “Yes Ellie is the key to

Oh hey another trolley problem understander.

April 28th. Marlene was right. The girl’s infection is like nothing I’ve ever seen. The cause of her immunity is uncertain. As we’ve seen in all past cases, the antigenic titers of the patient’s Cordyceps remain high in both the serum and the cerebrospinal fluid. Blood cultures taken from the patient rapidly grow

Was the cure real? Did they act against Ellie’s wishes? Was Joel justified? These questions all share the same answer: dear god please fucking kill me I can’t do this anymore.

This is incorrect: she’s clearly immune because her brain was already filled with too many terrible jokes, leaving no room for the cordyceps to take hold. It’s just basic science.

This tracks. Parents are literally all immoral monsters.

They are a company saying whatever they can to get regulators on their side aka doing their due diligence for shareholders. To do anything else would be weird.

I went vegetarian in 2016 (still going!) and it was largely triggered by The Walking Dead doing a cannibal storyline. Cannibalism in fiction absolutely drove me off eating meat period.

Then I had a dream where a cow was chewing on my bicep and I was like “ahhh omg what’s happening” and the cow looked at me and said

This entire article is framing this as if TLoU didn’t do this story back in 2013.  Huge swaths of this episode (and the series) are straight form the game, and aside from seeing the men and women of the community, this is maybe the closest the show has hewn to the game.

The thing is: I never hated this game. I loved it from day one, hour one. I never felt that my expectations hadn’t been met. Then again, I do not like the Witcher games at all. None of them, and I tried to play them all when they were relased (because the books are ok-ish), and again later on when they got upgrades

Not to be confused with rape magic realism, a similar but distinct genre.

i always think it’s weird when people do this ‘won’t someone please think of the crew!’ stuff. they do not care, got paid already and have moved onto their next thing.

All of Russia’s paid trolls haven’t been mobilized yet, huh?

You people, you centrists that tell people to “relax” and “calm down”, are the reason that bigotry still exists. MLK was talking about you when he referred to the biggest danger in america as the “moderate white”

You seem to be having a very hard time dealing with other people’s opinions in this world.

Stephanie Sterling breaks down exactly why “virulent transphobe” isn’t at all an exaggeration with Rowling:

I never once felt like the developers of this game are subscribing to Rowling’s brand of hate, and that’s the line that needs to be drawn here.
