They can't go back in time during the time they were/are alive. Causes "doubling," which is a lift from TIMECOP…er, not a good thing. ;)

And James Patterson interviewing Dostoyevsky. ;)

Hell, I'd pay to see just how this park convinces insurance companies to cover it. Or how so many people are able to even afford to visit.

I suspect it's deeper than that. Investing would have made him too much like the old-money boys he envied/hated. Inherited/tended wealth destroys morals and character in his books, and by throwing it away in rl on the style of wealth, not the substance, he proved he was ultimately the "better" man.

Ugh. Though I must confess, I would love to ask F. Scott Fitzgerald why he didn't invest some of his height-of-popularity cash flow. "Come on, man. Six COSMOPOLITAN stories at a thou a pop at a rate of 30% for seven years and you at least would have had enough for Scottie to finish
Harvard. What's the deal?" ;)

Yep. I have the same problem with BULL—how ethical is it to psych-eval jurors to this extent to get the verdict you want. The show glosses over that by proclaiming Bull's genius instincts tell him who's innocent, but how are his methods right?

Seriously. She could only if there was only one news source anywhere and she was the only news producer anywhere.

That it's great black folks can make trashy thrillers with the best (?) of 'em, but it's past time we up our game into way-smarter GONE GIRL territory. :p

"Besides making her more sympathetic to the film’s middle-aged, black female target audience—See, she’s not perfect! Money and a good man can’t buy happiness!"

Hmm—Risky Business will always mean summer to me. And it's weird—I was a working girl in the '80s and absolutely hated the pre-Trump callous yuppie-slime ethos that permeated most teen movies of the day. But RB's dreamy score; unreal WASP-perfection look; and dream-heightened situations cast one heck of a spell. As

Damn straight. He would have thumbs-downed the insufferable Snyder from jump.

Yeah—SUCKERPUNCH was only a tiny harbinger of his genius.

That was FALLEN. And it also used "Time Is On My Side" quite well, too.

Bleh. No one will convince me Snyder didn't have a major hand in song selection here.

In a just world, Paul Dini would have been given the keys to the entire DC kingdom from the get-go. :p

Yep. These guys are making up for years of being nerdy and not getting the gorgeous women they felt was their due.

You mean it was a lesson in mean-girl thinking. You're welcome. :)

Why would businesspeople sqander a sure thing? (Hell, ask clothing retailers who still refuse to carry fashionable plus-size clothes though such lines mint money.) It's not that culture-shapers can't—they don't want to. It's never been about aesthetic "merit" or financial goals—it's about keeping the power to dictate

Um, so what does your dog have to say about that? I'm assuming your wife would straight-up default kill you, so…;)

And rightly so. (Deering goes back to cheerfully contemplating all the things she'd do to Tom Hiddeston/Michael Fassbender…)
