I agree. And because of that, he probably won't go far politically because his party doesn't seem to like that mind set. It's a shame really.

Its not so much that the movie is getting the same criticism, its that it's getting the same criticism that isn't correct. If they wanted to put "Its okay he's a dick, I'm sure he'll change for me" on the cover of the movie poster I wouldn't even be having this conversation.
I admit that the main message to girls seems to be "be patient and he'll come around," which is outdated at best. Still, I like the idea of people wanting to change their faults in order to be deserving of love from the person you love. Some might not like this idea of changing yourself for another, but since what…
Well, I guess because Belle rejected Gaston that we are to assume that she doesn't care about looks. However, if the prince ended being like Quasimodo ugly, I'm pretty sure that not even his library could make her stay.
I think the story is more about the changes we make when we care about someone. The Beast becomes kinder, more thoughtful and recognizes the needs of another individual only after he falls in love. That's why he eventually lets Belle go.And I have no problem with movies getting criticism. I just don't see the point…
It's funny I guess. But there's nothing on these posters that other people haven't already criticized these movies for, even if the movies do not really warrant the criticism. Case in point being that everyone says how Beauty and the Beast is about a young woman experiencing Stockholm Syndrome even though that's not…
You know, I was just putting my thoughts out there. You came after me, attacking my intelligence and trying to make me feel like crap. I don't appreciate it, I'm removing myself from this conversation, go find someone else who you can call out in a completely unnecessary way and prove what an awesome political…
That's right! You and me, let's take it back!
Hang on here, I was just pointing out the fact that we get a president who is openly pro-choice and passes a health care law that includes free birth control and yet at the same time we have states that are basically outlawing abortion. Why didn't this happen during Bush's term? Just a thought. I understand how the…
While I'm happy that Obama supports reproductive rights and that he's going to speak at PP, how is it that so many laws are being passed in states during his pregnancy that are essentially outlawing abortion? North Dakota? Tennessee? C'mon Obama, get these states in line!
If there is a goddess in this crazy mix up universe, this will happen. Bravo.
I guess it is just a way for guys to instantly shame women who want the title of feminist. Oh well, I say they can call me a feminazi all they want, I'll just own it!
I couldn't really focus on the song after a pop up ad on the video asked me "should the boy scouts should ban gays?" Um...no, I don't think so....thanks for asking?
The only way any of this will ever get better is through proper education of what rape is (for both the teenage boys and the cops, apparently) and support groups for the victim. Every time I see a story like this I get sick to my stomach at the cops nonchalance and the victim's feelings of isolation.
