My parents have a Roku, and the dedicated “Netflix” button on the remote is great. I also had to add step by step instructions on the back of the TV remote so they could change to the correct input to watch it. Depending on how tech savvy your parents are, you may have to set it up for them initially.

Nice tip! Very helpful.

I hope they don’t. A bit of competition will drive innovation. It would be better if there were a third option too.

Yeah, definitely has more benefit for drivers - both sending and reading text messages. She can set alarms and appointments faster than tapping through the apps to do it. Quick weather updates, sports scores, etc.

In fairness, I can see their point. Everything on the front of the box screams “real fruit” - the pictures, the brand name, heck, it even says “made with real fruit” on the front. But a lawsuit? C’mon...just bring the product back to the store and ask for a refund.

I really hope Sleepy Hollow can get back into the first season’s level of greatness. I essentially slogged through the second season solely because it was primarily filmed around here.

She was great up until the last part of the season where she developed this hatred of all things not fully human. :/

Is it streaming now? Or is this another streaming-after-the -next-season-starts deal?

This happened with campcomic.com. I just thought that the site had gotten hacked, or something was screwy with a site design or something. Nope, one of the penny-arcade domains got flagged as an advertiser and was being blocked. Once I added the page in the whitelist, the site came back.

Nope, you’re good. Having a budget means more freedom to do things. At first it might be a bit restricting as you unlearn some bad spending habits. However, the first time you take that family vacation without having to worry about how much you’re spending makes it all worth it.

I think “Denali” is the preferred nomenclature. :)

True that. I’m a big fan of Steam. My computer isn’t though. :)

That may be helpful. Something along the lines of “here’s the cheapest place to buy your phone, and here’s the cheapest plan for your needs”. Kind of thing?

Nice tool, but it could be made to be more helpful. Something like:

Unfortunately, it looks like the Game of the Year editions are getting fewer and farther between. :/

Thanks for the heads up on Pandemic: Legacy. That looks like a very interesting take on the game. The OCD every-piece-goes-in-the-right-bag-and-in-the-right-slot-no-drinks-or-greasy-food-allowed-while-playing part of me is freaking out at permanently marking the game board and cards. I’m really torn.

Forbidden Island shares a lot of the same DNA as Pandemic, but is a lot easier to set up and play. Forbidden Desert is (in my opinion) the more refined and better game than Forbidden Desert.

My favorite is Pandemic, but the set up time is pretty complicated. Once you get the hang of it though, it is fun.

Because Martha was the epitome of a companion who desperately wanted to be a love interest to the point of ridiculousness.
