The tone of the article is that the new iPhone makes old docks and speakers useless. Which it doesn't. They still have the same use they did before. Just plug your old iPod or iPhone into the speaker dock and use it just the same as you did before.

If I have an "Old iPod dock lying around" I'd sooner just use the iPod I bought to go with it that STILL WORKS JUST FINE. This is a non-problem.
