In my opinion, this is the greatest looking console in history. Then again, I love colorful weird things. Sleek black boxes are fine and all but they get so boring.

I would put Rock’n roll racing in front of twisted metal any day.
NFSU2 and the first Most Wanted are my favorites... just dug up Midnight club DUB Edition Remix though. Kinda excited to re-play that.
I remember the exhaust note on NFS U was perfect, it would echo through the mountains and even had a nice shift sound. “Riders on the storm”
The better question is where Project Gotham Racing is.
I'd argue that Ridge Racer 2 PSP was the best version for content. It combined basically everything from every Ridge Racer before it into one.
I have to make a mention for auto modellista which was a beautiful looking game even if it didn’t have all the bells and whistles. On the c64 (if you want to go back farther) I used to play speed buggy and racing destruction set. On the SNES I liked Top Gear.
but where is Daytona ?
I’m sorry, but where in the world is Sega GT 2002?
Ummmm. Ok. I’ll say it. It’s better than Mario Kart. Better tracks, better gameplay, tighter controls, better graphics, better sounds, better characters. Better in every way. Truly the ultimate classic kart racer.
Burnout 3. Why did this not become an eSport? It could be some kind of dogfight-based racing game, and the intersection crash too.
Honorable mentions: SEGA Rally 2.
While not as ancient the game that continues to remain fun is Burnout 3. It was all about fun and not all about being realistic. That makes is really hold up well over time. Many of these others are just attempts at simulators which will always show their age poorly.
Makes me sad to think that we won’t be seeing these awesome new cars tested on the Top Gear test track by our three favorite British buffoons.
The USS Porter is encased in a rainbow during exercise Joint Warrior taking place off the coast of Scotland. Joint…
I’m 100% on the side of the devs with this one.
Agreed. But it had something the Subaru didn’t: a reliable engine.
Actually I liked the way the Crosstour looked. At least it was different. I’m sure that in 20 years if this site is still around a post will pop up about it and everyone will ohhhh and ahhh over it much like 90% of the weird shit that gets shown from the vehicular past here.
I like it. Also like the 2jz Camaro. And this is coming from a hardcore American/GM enthusiast. Good work, Im sure its a blast.
I’d rather see more of this than of LS swaps.
