I’d agree that this was the weakest episode of the season so far, but in my book that speaks more to the strength of the season than any glaring deficiencies in this episode.

That reminds me of a joke...

Helluva performance from Jean Smart. Obviously, the thermos-sized blue sex toy is the best spot of comedy.

First of all, me thinks this site has a thing against King since I don’t believe they have ever given anything of his a positive review, could be wrong but I can’t remember anything good. The book was a good read and with a few exceptions most King books don’t get proper screen treatment. The exceptions, to me anyhow,

An unexpected laugh erupted from me when Bojack's dad was telling his secretary to "coax it out of it's sheath".

Watching old ‘40s films which included casting couch “gags”, it occurred that this didn’t seem to happen to actresses with talent & careers, and the ones who used the couch route were pretty happy about it until the looks ran out.

It had some stand-out episodes worth rewatching but yeah... I just didn’t buy him becoming violent near the end, which seemed like the mandatory dark episode.

Agreed, S5 just left a sour taste in my mouth. It felt like things were changing after S4 but then Bojack had to return to his regularly scheduled penultimate episode fall. I’m hoping the “the beginning of the end of BoJack’s rehabilitation” mentioned in the review doesn’t end up being “Bojack ruins everything again

I didn’t love s5 of the show - although I’m watching it again right now in preparation so I hope I find some gems in there I didn’t catch the first time around. it pains me to say, because at its height I think this is one of the greatest shows on offer, but it felt a bit directionless and confused and having Bojack

I think what I found most endearing about that was that for all of the fanfare its reception was uniformly of the underwhelmed variety...& given that they went with 300k rather than a bigger number when Sharon asks how much all this stuff cost it seems plausible that he might have blown most if not all of his

You didn’t mention what I thought was the funniest part - Randy throwing himself a parade (with official police escort) to celebrate earning $300,000 while he tried to sing along with “China” by the Red Rockers.  Classic Randy Marsh - glad he has been such a big part of recent episodes.  His enthusiastic hubris is

it appears that this cartoon character has a specific interpretation of what it means to be pansexual.

You know, I expect to be vilified over this commentary, but I just can’t with this bullshit anymore. I’m not a huge Franco fan, but I’m sick of the automatic backlash that occurs these days after unsubstantiated accusations are made. How does someone defend himself against accusations for which no proof exists, yet

Hyperbole at minor complaints? Nooooo. Especially pummeling to death which seems like an intentional gay bash reference? Noooo

I didn’t get this bronze medal playing skeeball, honey.

As a gay man, I’d like to apologize on behalf of our community to everyone who makes an effort not to be offensive, makes a slip-up, and gets pummeled to death by every queer person within range.

let’s make fun of people caring about sexual orientation

This is exactly like that time Itchy played Scratchy’s skeleton like a xylophone, and strikes the same rib in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is a magic xylophone, or something?

I mean it’s fine that he apologised, and he did it well, but the young characters learning about their sexuality (through trial and error) always felt like it was an important part of Big Mouth.

Just saw the first episode and this was by far the best superhero show, movies included, I have seen in years. And yes I can’t stand the MCU or DCU. I hate the superhero genre. This is exactly what I needed - a more realistic look at them.
