Haven’t watched this episode yet, but general series-so-far thoughts overall:
Oh whacking day, oh whacking day
Oh God is she the worst! And oh God did nothing happen!
I mean this is all...fine, but who’s brilliant idea was it to turn half of this season into a narratively pointless flashback? Assuming the next episode is still Coven Pt. 2, are we about to witness our first AHS double-season, or is Ryan Murphy the madman seriously hoping to wrap it all up in two episodes?
PS: Where…
Weight Witchers
The Sara/Ava relationship has always felt a little too domestic for this show, but the introduction of John Constantine as the world’s most insane third wheel solves that problem nicely. Just when I’m getting bored, there are dancing knuckle bones on the kitchen counter.
I don’t know if Gary’s gay, or if it’s just John…
It is unfortunately, if it’s not acted, written, directed, produced by women then it’s fridging. People are so weird nowadays.
Is it really ‘fridging’ if the character being motivated is the VILLAIN? I recognize that signalling ‘wokeness’ is now supposed to be our main responsibility as culture consumers, but, uh, does this mean that the death of a female character can never ever ever be a motivating factor for a male character under any…
I definitely agree with her on some points, but I also feel like many of her complaints are clearly a result of her not paying attention to the show.
I don’t feel as strongly about fridging as many people seem to. It’s a concept that’s as old as fiction. Like, I’m married and have a son. Someone doing something to one…
The season started with Matt begging to be killed by a criminal, and ended with Fisk begging Daredevil to kill him. Fisk ended where Matt began. Matt now has more power over Fisk, the exact opposite of where it started.
Agreed. I don’t think the reviewer paid any attention to anything other than things that violated her SJW sensibilities. Another one she missed
So I was going to make this short, but instead I’m wring a rebuttal to your nonsense review. Now mind you, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however if you’re going to publish a review online that will influence others opinion I think it’s important that you attention to the show you’re reviewing. It’s…
Its not a cliche.
I just finished the season and you definitely summed up the episode far more accurately than the reviewer did. Was it perfect? Well, no. But so much of what she claims are flaws were actually spelled out throughout the episode.
Never seen a review further from the mark than this one.
You could not have been more wrong about the finale.
No. Grow up.
Wow. This episode was amazing. I have no idea what show you’re even watching.
The Finale really doesn’t deserve a D. Yes, the girl in the freezer is the literal definition of that cliche, but it worked great as the motive for Bullseye to turn against Fisk and made her quick death a relevant plot point. And I have a feeling that every single British person wishes that they could do to Piers…
Regarding the Fisk gesturing to Vanessa to go up the stairs- I think he was indicating she go downstairs via the secret stairwell in his dressing room, which was in the upstairs section of his loft.
