Who said they're barbarians? I never said it. The fact that people are falling all over themselves to label them with epithets that it SOUNDS like I COULD HAVE said, says more than I ever said.

Did I say that Indian people are savages? No. But are we not allowed to say that India is freaking dangerous for tourists, or that brutal gang rape assault is becoming more common there? We criticize the American culture for glorifying the athlete and excusing date rape without anyone devolving into "Americans are

This sounds awful. I'm so sorry you went through with that. And in your case, the fact that it's a teacher made it awful because he/she was supposed to be a mentor, a guiding adult, and instead s/he betrayed your trust. I wonder if that's what differentiates that between what the OP experienced.

You can always tell the folks who are doing it as a trend.

I can't stand how many otherwise healthy people have gone on the gluten-free bandwagon.

There's a vegan place near my house. I keep kosher, and there's no official kosher certification on the vegan place, but because being vegan is inherently kosher, a lot of my friends who keep kosher eat there. I don't, because I DON'T TRUST PEOPLE. Either you pay for kosher oversight to make sure you're not doing

Obviously, it's not an oppressive regime if men are fighting to stay home and do it. We don't have to define something as bad or wrong just because women have, historically, been the ones doing it.

They did a study that showed that fetal amniotic fluid actually was more garlicky or something if the moms were heavy on the garlic. I forget what it all entailed, but yes, what your mom eats is kinda your first foods in utero.

I think my biggest epiphany came when my mother told me to stop nursing because she felt that my diet was so poor that I was giving my baby terrible milk. I scoffed and acted outraged and offended, and then did some google searches and. . . huh.
