The funding does not end in the scientists' pockets, but is for research only.

But she actually never said that you should wait until you're married. Just that you should wait. I'm not sure how long that means, but I like the idea that sex should stop being a guaranteed item in the dating process.

I hear you. Like I said to another poster, I think that society doesn't value virginity as much as it values youth - and the implied virginity. No one is all that impressed with a 30-something virgin.

I don't know if you have any less self-respect than this person has. I mean, you don't really know anything about this woman other than what's written on this page.

Totally agree with you, but she's responding to an extreme point of view with the opposite extreme point of view.

It's not just Christians. It's every religion, plus evolutionary biologists, plus scientists that use these "theories" about women not being very sexual to fund studies that look for the sexy sexy chemical reaction from testosterone and not in estrogen.

I agree with you, but an interesting thing happens when women start saying that men should wait to have sex/only have sex with one person. All of a sudden, it's IMPOSSIBLE that men are able to handle it, and you're stifling him, and he's going to cheat on you duh, and you're so sexually repressive, etc.

I don't know. I would think that the superbugs scientists have messed with is some kind of Frankensteinian creation that involves an awful lot of hubris.

Amazing. I think out of all the 80s movies listed here, this is the one that remains the most current.

Read The Demon In the Freezer.

Read The Demon In The Freezer and you'll see why I disagree.

Didn't they make a similar movie to this with Scarlet Johanssen and an Island?

I could totally put a list together of 80,000 people I want off the planet.

Is it just me, or is this a new trend to start making movies about how horrible a president is right before the election for the second term? Michael Moore did this with GWB and now someone did this with Obama. I think it backfires.

not stopping to consider that what they're saying, to my face, is "becoming you is my worst nightmare, and not becoming you is my top priority."

Why do you make the assumption that I think being gay is a nono? ("nono"? Are you a teenager?)

"What compelled you to keep the baby?"

"The fact that their society is making it so ridiculously easy for a man to oppress his wife is the problem — we can't just count on every husband to be a benevolent egalitarian when he could so very easily be a dictator"

What's wrong with you?

It's not always about money. Sometimes it's about international pressure.
