If you have 20 firefighters in your workforce, and all of them are white men, there's a problem. If you have no female applicants or black applicants, then hmm. Perhaps you should evaluate why.

Sigh. It's a good thing people like you aren't actually making public policy into law, because you're an idiot.
That's total BS. My husband's company was going to fire this woman because she just wasn't very good at her job. They waffled about it for a few months, hoping she would improve with suggestions, but it just didn't happen. Now, just as they set up an appointment to tell her in person that she's fired, she announced…
If you honestly care so much, then stop having Gawker et al post nude photos of Kate Middleton, celebs without makeup on the street, and any photo accompanying your articles that didn't have a signed release form.
I didn't mean that the woman was "positively aghast", but the Jezebel author.
Awareness is just a misnomer. Awareness usually means, "This month, we're sending you reminders to please donate to this cause, because it's not like you donate to it year round."
This story warms my heart. I love this woman, whoever she is.
See, this is where i don't understand what people want everyone to do. I've said in the past that I think that all rapists accused of rape should be suspended for a term and have their privileges (curfew, extracurriculars) revoked. Then I got about 394 replies saying that "Presumed innocence!" and "you want to…
This is awesome.
The same could be said about America's love of seafood. We're killing our rivers and oceans by overfishing.
Am I missing something here? I don't see the offense. Yes, she's in her underwear. Yes, people are talking about it. But show me a picture of a guy in his underwear, and yes, the first thing I'm going to do is analyze his body. Maybe we're too polite to say so in public, maybe thousands of women aren't storming…
I'll never be the same, that's for sure. But I must argue that I'm still skinny and sexy!
Your baby is four months old? You're being SO HARD on yourself! Are you nursing? For me, nursing meant that I kept on the weight longer. Unlike everyone else I know, who loses weight with nursing.
I fully respect your decision never to have kids, which is fine, but seriously, post baby bodies aren't that bad. As I've said to others, my body was just really really narrow, and it made sense that I had to expand a bit. If you're already a 38, you might not have to expand any more.
A good bra can make everything look better! And enjoy your hips! Sofia Vergara (or whatever her name is) certainly does!
I don't think it happens to everyone, but to me, I was just very very narrow. My babies were pretty small, but their feet were jammed right up there in my ribcage anyway, and that's not counting the head that was up there before it turned.
My husband literally yanked that sucker up there. I couldn't do it. I also favor very 50's style dresses, with the tight cinched waist and top. And all the spanx in the world isn't helping right now.
Like I said, I still look pretty awesome, and I'm still the same dress size I was before I had four (!). My boobs increased a size slightly, and that's great news for what I had before, and I'm just slightly wider. But as I and someone else said, I also have more of an hourglass figure now.
Yeah. Whenever I see really really narrow people, I just tell myself, "They haven't had kids yet."
I think that once the ribcage gets bigger, that's it. It doesn't increase with each baby or anything, unless you have multiples.
