Heat is my favorite Pacino movie. I still think his “she’s got a GREAT ASS” is the most Al Pacino line reading of any he’s done in his career. Granted that was released after your meeting, so it would have been weird if you said that was your favorite movie of his.

Taking a little advantage of them? Sure. But remember that the bad stuff that happened to them was not in any way our fault and we saved them from the people who did it. They could have chosen to go off and find their own planet, but chose to stay here and let us do the hard work for them. They were in no way entitled

There really is no good reason we should continue to allow the current ruling party in each state to draw their own district maps. It needs to be a national, non-partisan group that can look at the congressional districts free from local/political influence. This is just another in a long line of examples of voting

Maybe I’m off base here, but I’m honestly sick of directors filming their movies in ways that make it nearly impossible for the majority of the audience to get the “true experience as it was meant to be seen”. I’m generally a big fan of Tarantino and Nolan, but this shit is just obnoxious and pretentious.

It’s hilarious to me that he states it as “obviously” and calls it an “excellent tradition” when there isn’t a single comment (at least that I’ve seen) on any of the recaps that supports it.

Why would anyone care either way about any of this, especially when the heroes of the show are fighting specifically to keep the Skrulls oppressed indefinitely with no plan to change things other than to whine that no one is changing things.

Democratic attorneys general ... Democratic AGs

In a country where the richest people and corporations exploit every loophole (that they’ve lobbied to include, btw) to pay way below their fair share in taxes, it damn sure is a negative for regular folks to be double taxed.

Most states require some kind of inspection each year, and the mileage gets recorded during the inspection. Seems like a pretty simple way of tracking it to me.

This article saying everyone casting doubt on her story is racist sure aged well, huh?

Yeah, she’s definitely lying about the whole thing, but I’m wondering what crime they could potentially charge her with beyond the “false 911 call”. She probably got exposed too soon to be able to do anything that would add some sort of fraud charges.

Ok, this is my last comment here because this discussion is going nowhere and my words keep getting twisted. I’ll address each point, and that’s it.

If that is the only complaint about this the article is talking about (which I strongly disagree with, at least the article linked in the post makes a point to talk about how most of the cast of “companions” are not little people), then I guess my initial comment should just be that it’s dumb to remake this movie and

Let me ask you this...what are the racists complaining about here? What is the issue they have with this movie?

Every Mario Kart player knows the pain of the blue shell (or spiny shell, as it’s technically called).

Yup, if you have the boom box you just wait until the blue shell starts circling you then you can blast it out of the sky. I figured that out pretty recently and was blown away that it worked, now I hoard those boom boxes whenever I get them because nothing feels better than defeating a blue shell.

Let’s be real, that can apply to every genre of music out there, country isn’t special like that. Among those that get any sort of attention, here are only a handful of real genuine artists among a sea of corporate stooges.

If some is complaining about the dwarfs being black, they can fuck right off. If someone has an entirely different complaint that may be valid, I think it’s worth listening to. And sorry for using the article linked in this article, but I honestly don’t care enough to search for another source to corroborate it. Just

Am I sure? No, but considering the fact that one out of the seven is a little person and that the article in the linked tweet specifically says they won’t be dwarfs and they’re taking “a different approach with these characters” it seems to be a decent guess.

When Ring of Power came out, were people bitching about the non-dwarf actors playing the Hobbit people or about the black people playing elves and dwarves?
