Sadly the Wii U did it the PS4 way, downloading it as a patch then “applying” it.  It was a downgrade over what they had on the 3DS, but that’s Nintendo for you.

I prefer how it works on the Switch and 3DS.  It just downloads the update straight into it’s final destination and it just “works”.

What a wonderful coincidence! I’ve been retooling my original XBox lately, spurred on by recent knowledge that one particular capacitor is currently ruining EVERYONE’S XBox right this very now. (Remove it!)

I never really “got” the whole “I’m rudely going to force my opinion down your throat” kind of “joke” this site likes to use in articles like this all the time. I know it’s a joke, I just don’t get it.

Here’s my take. Above all else, tournaments need to be entertaining. There’s nothing entertaining about watching someone caught in an infinite loop and unable to escape for minutes on end.  This technique should be banned on the simple grounds that it makes the game boring to watch.

Well, I do prefer to have all the games in a series in a single list, so that’s nice.

Too bad I don’t want this country road to take me home any time soon.  I just wonder what this massive content patch is going to do to break the always-online game with no option to host your own servers off your own PC.

Did ANYONE save “Tech Sergeant”?  It’s a crazed man going on about 90's pop culture that was, well, made in the 90's.

You DO realize ALL the old shooters let you literally save anywhere at any time right?  This change is an intentional restriction to prevent the sort of “save scrubbing” common at the time.  I admit I abuse it quite a bit myself.
