Trailers are there to grab a person's attention. If they do, then you go to the demo (if they have one). So a trailer is there for you to formulate an opinion on a game and decide whether you're interested or not.

I also loved Far Cry 2, I loved the freedom I was given. I was surprised that so many people hated it, with all the linear First Person shooters i thought it was a nice breath of fresh air.
