I heard commentary on the distinction, nobody says “But Joe’s such a talented plumber” or “But Robert’s such a gifted surgeon”.  We make these kind of exceptions for the famous and the powerful.  Which sucks.

And then add into that “choice” the fact that different hospitals work with different insurers and doctors have privileges at only some hospitals.  And if you’re unlucky enough to be taken by ambulance, your “choices” are even narrower.

Forgiveness is for the forgiver, not the forgivee.  One of the most gut-wrenching acts of forgiveness that I have ever witnessed is one of the family members who forgave the Green River Killer.  Powerful stuff.

 Got the news today that a friend lost his battle with cancer.  Too many lives lost.
