I always thought that they didn’t want to bring them up because there’s a chance it would make their peers realize the worldviews they hold.

The funny thing is, you can identify and discuss the problematic aspects of a creator and their work while still finding merit in their work, instead of trying to dismiss all criticism in hopes of not having to think critically about it.

I don’t think RPGs have been affected since they’re less dependent on their physical components. I’ve played a few over teleconferencing since this all started. I’d be curious to see some number from places like Druve Thru RPG to see how they’re selling.

I think Lovecraft’s talent stems from his ability to truly convey his irrational fears and worldview through his stories. In a way, it kind of gives insight into just how racists see the world and those of different race: as something alien and unknowable to them.

I sure hope this doesn’t lead to people making wild speculations about the game like the Pokemon leaks did or the Diablo 4 ones before that...

I also thing too few people realize that character design and animation are two different, related fields. Like the character designers aren’t necessarily responsible for the people making them move.

To not distinguish between design an animation when talking about animation does a disservice to both the designers and the animators, especially considering that the quality of animation is often inversely proportional to the quality of animation.

At least you know the difference!
