If I had the means and opportunity I wouldn’t be in the friggin’ United States of America any more, much less a red state like Indiana. Radically unequal access to means and opportunity is the whole problem with this country. In Indiana, as elsewhere, laws like these are being passed to humiliate and bully poor women.

The gun nuts demand that we treat this as a “success story” because an armed LEO on site killed the killer before he could kill others.

No.

Bless you for helping these women. I’m sorry you have to run the gauntlet of these fanatics, but you are doing something incredibly brave and good. My own belief is that many of these people have thrown themselves into the cult of the unborn in order to cling to some trace of humanity within themselves: as Carl Jung

To be clear, I’m talking about two separate waves. Abortion—including even illegal abortion—has supplanted infanticide because it is a better option. Infanticide was surprisingly widespread throughout the world, including the industrial nations of the West, well into the 19th century and even the early 20th century.

No wealthy woman will feel the impact of this law: no affluent Republican woman, including the wives, daughters, mistresses, girlfriends, and one night stands of pro-life Republican politicians, will feel the impact of this law.

It’s fascinating to reflect that when the Klan experienced a huge resurgence just about a hundred years ago, it was because our shores were being breached by people with surnames like Lokteff and Volitich, who flooded into the US in search of work in the new industrial cities like Gary and Pittsburgh.

In my community, doctors are more than ten times more likely to invest in real estate than they are to donate to charity. Some doctors leave medicine for politics one step ahead of a malpractice suit, while others simply see politics as a better investment than real estate. There’s a certain arrogant type who’s drawn

“We live in America, and in America, we speak English.”

What Omarosa doesn’t understand is that “Jesus” is just Mike Pence’s pet name for his billionaire master, the liver-spotted old trust fund brat and fossil fuel heir Charles Koch. Mike is a Koch man from way, way back.

Tens of thousands of Americans leave America each and every year to have complex medical procedures like knee and hip replacement performed in other countries. The number is growing. More people leave America to receive health care elsewhere, than come here to experience the glories of “the greatest health care system

The whole party is corrupt, and a lot of them have profited from the Russian connection (which is really interchangeable with a Koch connection—-Oil Oligarchs of the World, Unite, and all that).

The woman-hating asshole who declared that abortion is the moral equivalent of murder (puh-RAZE JEE zus!)  isn’t the chucklefuck who should be burned at the stake.

She’s married to the father of Andrew Breitbart’s widow. It all kind of figures to me that she would be an apologist for the whole “boys will be boys” thing.

Jeez a loo, “I have a hot eastern European wife,” really? Who says this? Yes, I know, these guys say this. Ack. Vomit.

There are worse things in this life than missing out on romantic love. I have said this to young women before. None of them believe me. But it is true.

That depends entirely on whether the case were to be heard by a decent judge, or, alternatively, by a judge who thinks like Samuel Alito or Neil Gorsuch.

In real life she died miserably and young (just 39), of complications of childbirth, after having started a potentially impressive career as a painter in Europe and marrying a younger man from Switzerland.
