I’d suggest at least one of the points that even this article doesn’t fully express is that the countdown-to-18 is creepy mostly because it’s purely semantic. The need for people to set a “legal timer” serves only to prove they are already sexualizing underage women and they can’t wait for an excuse to do it openly.
