“Because I said so” went out the window for those of us who were raised by former civil rights activists. People that were willing to go to the wall to fight against some stupid-ass arbitrary rules felt really weird busting out “Because I said so” on their kids, and now I feel weird busting it out on my kid.

I still

Yeah thanks dickhead, I know there’s a hell of a lot of pain to come.  Already have 1 crown, it’s gold, they’re all gonna be gold, cause gold is for royalty and I am the King of Candy

My favorite recently was when my daughter says she took her bow off before getting in the shower. I am standing there looking at it sitting in a pool of water on top of the toilet seat. I ask how it got there. She says it fell off her head and landed there. I ask how it got wet. She says the toilet flushed out of the

The saying in our house was “don’t argue with a 3 year old.  One of you loses and the other looks like a 3 year old.”

The other day my wife was still in bed and I was almost done brushing and I realized I was using her toothbrush.

We had this argument the other day and I had to catch myself because I was like, “Alright, breath in my face...Oh god! You’re breath smells like fu....Farts.”

Ah, the old “I already brushed” yarn. My 9-year-old tried to use that on me last weekend and didn’t seem to see the logical flaw in her plan that I WAS IN THE BATHROOM FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD DURING WHICH SHE WAS TRYING TO CONVINCE ME SHE BRUSHED! But no matter, she kept on--ignoring all reason--working to convince me

When I was little, I would rub a small amount of toothpaste on my tongue to beat the breath smell test, and it worked. There were layers and thought put into the lie.

The other day I told them that they had to read and they were like, “No we don’t.”

@bigPixel - you received your rewards even if you paid before the due date. You would lose the rewards on your Chase if you closed the card. Same for any card. If you have been using your Cap1 QS - I would log back in, you may be sitting on hundreds in rewards if you have truly never redeemed.

The method you use to make payments is irrelevant. Whether that’s cash, a debit card, a credit card, or a credit card with rewards, how you are paying for something doesn’t matter so long as you plan on paying for it before your payment term is up. You can pay off most credit cards every day if you want. How much you

this is good an all, but like children they’ll figure out that if it’s not the one YOU are typing on, it’s a ruse. My kids did the same thing with keyboards, mice, and game controllers. Cats and kids are just attention starved assholes.

No, the award is accrued when you use the card. I too pay off my credit card every month, never pay any interest, and get 2% rewards on basically all money I spend.

Dear Claire,

Brains are weird. I had a few years where every few nights, I’d wake up with this idea that it was VERY IMPORTANT I remember the rules to this board game because we never used the right rules, and I had to tell my husband. By the time I was fully awake, I knew there was something important but could never remember

I’m not sure I follow. If you’ve never paid interest then why do you chose a card based on low APR? The overseas foreign charge fees makes sense if you travel often.

The idea is to use the CC then turn around and pay it off before interest starts. So you go to the store use the CC then a day later turn around and payoff the balance with your debit car or bank account. CC companies know that most people wont always do this so they win over all in the long run.(like a casino) Even a

There’s two levels to the Blue cash...one with a annual fee one without.

Yeah I get it to a certain respect, but when my daughter was 3 months old my wife was walking her in her stroller crossing with the  Walk sign and some ass hole turning right bump the stroller, and then this ass hole tried to act like it was her fault. I am not a tough guy but if I was there I would habe tried to beat

“Holy smokes, British rail has their act together. That’s a system that people and governments have actually loved and invested in.”
