I was actually thinking of packaged instant ramen, but the place I sometimes order delivery ramen from actually separates the noodles/other ingredients from the broth in separate containers. So thoughtful!

I’d agree with this, overall. Anecdotally, as a BOH food maker type, I was always stoked when people set aside tip money for BOH.

Counterpoint: For old school delivery joints (think pizza, Chinese, etc. and not GrubHub/Postmates/whatnot), the person who makes the food isn’t usually the same person who delivers it. I’m of the opinion that the driver deserves less than the person who made it.

Interestingly enough, there’s a bar that this friend and I go to. They have all flats or all drums on the menu for a few cents extra per wing. He’ll pay that if he really wants all flats that day.

Drums can be cheaper, though.  Leg quarters can be cheap too and include the thigh.  Drums are probably the most economical chicken parts.
