Waiting in the Toyota lobby like

It’s actually not true at all. That’s the difference between an authorized user and a joint account holder. Being an authorized user is a pretty sweet deal.

The best tip I ever got on understanding credit scores is this: Your credit score is *not* a measure of how responsible you are with money. It is a measure of how profitable you will be to loan money too. People who default on their debts aren’t good risks, people who borrow & then pay it back right away are OK,

It doesn’t show that at all. To a bank, it shows they’ve never had debt and therefore don’t necessarily know how to handle debt repayment.

I had to rebuild my credit after getting hosed in a bad property settlement after a divorce.

This basically is the aspartame hate except for aluminum. There’s no science to back up any claims and is deemed dangerous.

have you met my partner? um, no.

The short answer is no, if the loans were taken out before the marriage you’re not liable. The only exception would be private loans that don’t discharge on death but those are rare.

“Knowing who to blame” for screwing up part of a vacation won’t help anything. In fact, it will only lead to inter-personal group toxicity during your trip, and perhaps after it.

I’ve done quite a bit of group-vacation planning and execution, and there’s always one person who is really good at all things

We made this mistake with kid #1. After awhile, she refused to sleep unless she was docked to the mothership. Sleep training later was hell (mostly because nosy neighbor called the cops every time we tried.)

Never again.

My parents managed through it by staying with my grandfather, whose dog would run up to and perch against the crib to see what the noise was any time I (or was it my brother?) started crying, thereby making the crib start rocking and giving me a dog to look at.

A mistake at work won’t result in most peoples’ pay being docked but it can easily cost them money via a reduced or delayed raise at the end of the year. If a server is *extremely* rude, inattentive, incompetent, etc. (and it’s clearly not just because the restaurant is slammed), I’m going to tip less than the usual

Difference being, he’s not the boss of the waiter. Meaning he doesn’t have authority over them and doesn’t pay them a wage. The US system is fucked up, sure, that’s not the issue here. But he’s not docking their pay, he’s giving them less of a tip. A tip that is explicitly for service rendered. If the service rendered

no, get it to-go, don’t occupy a table if only one person is eating, unless your friends feel like contributing to the tip.

If you don’t want photos at all, then that’s cool. But I don’t personally see a difference between wanting an album “for the attic” (which, what?) or portrait on the wall when it comes to picking a photographer. If the photographer is not good, then either of them will look like crap.

You sound like one of my coworkers that refuses to buy a car with power windows and door locks. Just another item to break, he scoffs. I have a 13 year old truck with power locks and windows, all still work.

In europe, banks issue the pin codes and won’t let users change them. Problem solved

Or.....go to a 2 year community college and realize the field you picked is not right for you.

Every person I know who went to a community college has at least one story of a professor inserting something batshit crazy into the curriculum, from young earth creationism in a geology course to some clown possey shit in intro physics.

I’d wager that this dealer isn’t franchised by a major automaker. This has all the markings of a buy-here-pay-here lot. There used to be a regular contributor on ttac.com that ran a buy-here-pay-here lot. It wasn’t specifically about the bhph model, but he let on enough details that you knew that is what he was
